WiseWine is operated by LLC Wise Wine (შპს ვაიზ ვაინ), ID 400431190. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

We collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and order history when you place an order. We also store your age confirmation, your selected delivery region, and your language preference in browser cookies.

Why we collect it

We use this information to deliver your wine, contact you about your order, process refunds, comply with Georgian alcohol-sale laws (age verification), and improve our service.

Payment data

Payment is handled by Bank of Georgia. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or expiry date — the bank returns to us only a payment status (paid, failed, refunded) and a reference.

Where we store it

Your data is stored on a managed MongoDB database hosted in the European Union by DigitalOcean. Access is restricted to authorised WiseWine staff.

Who we share it with

We share data with Bank of Georgia (for payment), with our courier (only the address and phone needed to deliver), and with the Georgian tax authorities when required by law. We never sell or rent your data.

Cookies we use

We use essential cookies — wisewine-locale (your language), wisewine-region (your delivery region), wisewine-cookie-consent (your consent choice), and a session cookie when you sign in; your age confirmation is kept in localStorage on your device. We also run our own first-party analytics: anonymous pageviews are recorded on our servers on every visit (we never store your full IP address), and only if you accept analytics cookies do we set a wisewine-visitor cookie to tell new from returning visitors. When you are signed in, your pageviews are linked to your account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under Georgian law you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to ask us to stop processing it. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with your order email — we respond within 14 days.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as Georgian tax and consumer-protection law requires (currently 6 years). After that, records are deleted or anonymised.
