How we use cookies
Cookie policy
Last updated 2026-06-06
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage WiseWine uses on wisewine.ge, what each is for, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use your browser's localStorage for one setting. Together they let the site remember your choices between visits.
Essential cookies
These are always on because the shop cannot work without them: wisewine-locale (your chosen language), wisewine-region (your delivery region), wisewine-cookie-consent (your consent choice), and a session cookie when you sign in. Your age confirmation is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device. None of these are used for advertising.
Optional cookies
We run privacy-friendly, first-party analytics to understand how the shop is used so we can improve it. Anonymous pageviews are recorded on our own servers on every visit — we never store your full IP address and use no advertising or third-party cookies. With your consent we additionally set a wisewine-visitor cookie: a random id that lets us tell new from returning visitors and group your visits. If you choose essential cookies only, no wisewine-visitor cookie is set and your visits are recorded as anonymous one-offs. If you are signed in, your pageviews are also linked to your account.
Managing your consent
On your first visit a banner lets you accept all cookies or keep only the essential ones. You can change your choice anytime using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, though essential ones will be set again as you use the site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our cookie use changes; the current version is always published here with a Last updated date.
